This documentary gives an insight into the music of the Lisa Young Quartet, featuring Lisa Young voice/konnakol, Stephen Magnusson guitar, Ben Robertson double bass and Dave Beck drums/cajon. The documentary covers the process of making of the quartet’s 2012 release The Eternal Pulse, which uses elements of jazz and South Indian music.

‘A Day In the Life – Lisa Young’ is a short clip by Elle Bates, filmed at ‘With One Voice’ the opening of the Melbourne Jazz Festival held at Fed Square in June 2012. The event was an interactive public Vocal Workshop with guest artists Lisa Young, Katie Noonan, Lamine Sonko, and the Skin Choir leading the public in various vocal styles. Lisa leads the audience in the vocal percussion style of ‘konnakol’
