Commissioning Lisa to compose a work for your choir or a special event is easy. It is basically a request for the creation of a new piece of music. You will be contributing to the making of a new cultural asset.
Choirs around the world sing Lisa’s choral works, many of which began as commissioned works. Some had a specific brief, others were composed to match the skills and aesthetic of the choir.
The song is premiered by your group, and forever has your name as commissioner on the score. Email Lisa at info@lisayoungmusic.com to discuss your ideas for a special work for your group.
Testamonial: “Lisa Young’s music bubbles with rhythmic colour and harmonic beauty. Lisa is widely admired in the choral, jazz and world-music community as a composer and improviser, incorporating Indian and African elements in her work. In recent years Lisa has composed two pieces for The Australian Voices: Other Plans and Misra Chappu. We have performed these pieces many times and grown to love them. They always go down brilliantly with audiences. Lisa has the impressive ability to compose infectious choral music that is not over-difficult to learn.” Gordon Hamilton Artistic Director – The Australian Voices
