Can I make copies of sheet music that I buy from you?
Yes of course! You can make 1 copy per singer according to your licence purchased.
We offer 2 types of licence, STANDARD or MULTIPLE USE:
- STANDARD INDIVIDUAL CHOIR/GROUP LICENSING ARRANGEMENT $35 Per 20 singers – Standard sheet music licence purchase is to be used with up to 20 singers in one choir or group only. Where the choir or group is larger than 20, you purchase the appropriate number of licences in multiples of 20. (60 singers = 3 licences) (You can make 1 copy per singer according to your licence purchase). If the institution plans to use the work for a large ensemble of over 40 people, they need to purchase the STANDARD licence in multiples of 20 singers. So for example, if you have up to 40 singers, you would need to buy 2 licences. You can do this by clicking Add to Cart twice, or editing the quantity in your shopping cart. Then you can make up to 40 copies.
- MULTIPLE USAGE LICENSING ARRANGEMENT FOR INSTITUTION AND UNIVERSITY LIBRARIES $70 – (New in 2013) Where scores are going into an institution’s library and are open to multiple use by different small groups of students over time, the institution is required to purchase 2 licences to cover this multiple small ensemble usage. The purchase receipt will state ‘Multiple Usage Licence’
Please send us an email if you have questions about more complex licensing arrangements.
Can my choir/group perform the works in public?
Of course! However, we ask that you register performances with the appropriate performance royalty body like APRA. All these details come with the licence arrangement when you make your purchase. Alternatively email us the performance details so we can lodge them.
